The Beginning: Meeting a Critical Need
Five years ago, during COVID-19, we launched Soapbox because we saw a critical gap in the supply chain industry.
In our early days as a 4PL provider, while working closely with our customers, we experienced firsthand the pain points managing across supply chains – siloed data, disconnected systems, and constant manual adjustments that drained human resources, time, and money. These challenges weren’t just frustrating - they were barriers to growth.
There was a demand for a centralized system of record that wasn’t just another ERP. Operators, whether at third-party logistics (3PLs) or brands, struggled to execute their day-to-day operations, while also providing visibility and data between the two ecosystem parties.
For our customers, it was costly and time-consuming to hire and manage or contract the resources to integrate the data systems, further delaying customer launches and the revenue generation tied to them. With every additional brand and warehouse, companies were forced to expand their tech stack.
Consequently, we continued building the software and middleware layer the industry needed.
The Turning Point
Last year marked a significant step forward. We transitioned from being a 4PL service provider to a comprehensive software solution. This transition wasn’t just a change in our business model but the realization of our original vision for Soapbox.
We took everything we learned from the market and built a platform the industry needed - one that serves as the connective tissue between disparate systems - a functional middleware. Our platform integrates and coordinates data flows across the supply chain, ensuring every element speaks the same language and syncs for real-time data access.
